Perry Rohr

Age: 13, Bernice Ayer Middle School
Perry Rohr is a Bernice Ayer Middle School surf team member and Dewey Weber team rider who is just finishing up a very successful year of longboard competition, making the finals of nearly every contest he entered. Perry’s exceptional style and footwork even earned him first place finishes in four competitions in 2009—San Clemente Groms Rule at the Ocean Fest, Swami’s Longboard Invitational and both of this seasons first two Interscholastic Surfing Federation (ISF) Orange County Middle School contests at Carlsbad and Salt Creek. Perry’s most recent surf trip was to surf the point breaks of Santa Barbara County over Thanksgiving break. Perry also enjoys music, studies both the piano and cello and loves to skateboard. His favorite hobby, outside of surfing, is videography and editing. Perry especially enjoys making videos of his surf outings and posting them on YouTube. In school Perry has the work ethic and focus it takes to be an ‘A’ student. His concern for the environment has led to an expressed interest in the possibility of a future career working in the alternative energy industry. Keep up the great work Perry! —AS
